7/15/02 NEW DATES FOR EAST COAST TOUR: To commemorate the two month anniversary of the release of "Punchin Skanks, Live at the Venu", Filthy Fifteen Records has decided re-release the cd. The cd has been completely re-mastered with all new packaging that was stolen from the infamous "Feed Us" ep that was never released but still somehow got reviewed in the Boston zine, The Noise. Don't worry about me or the sound of the re-mastered cd though, all the skank screamin fun of the Midnight Creeps live is preserved and augmented. Think of it as a boob job for compact discs. The re-mastered cd is now available at selected record stores, midget rodeos, and of course Midnight Creeps shows. Those of you with the original are advised to hold on to it and make a killing down the road on Ebay when the world catches up. 5/27/02 CREEPS TO PLAY 2002 HOLIDAYS IN THE SUN FESTIVAL! The Creeps will be playing the only US date of this years Holidays In The Sun festival. The festival will take place the weekend of September 6-8 at the Stone Pony in Ashbury Park, NJ. Holidays in the Sun is renowned for putting on the biggest and best punk festivals in world! 4/15/02 RE-NEWED HOPE FOR THE WRETCHED: On April 27th the Safari Lounge hosts a special night of love songs for the apocalypse. Please park all Cadillacs as far away as humanely possible and refrain from bringing chainsaws, sledge-hammers, and machine guns inside as its time for the first PCP festival! That's right finally Providence celebrates the Plasmatics! The Plasmatics often regarded to this day as the most outrageous band of all time were infamous for their outlandish stage shows. Banned in London for threatening to "give a cultural enema to the British people" while dressed in a nurses costume, Wendy O Williams and the Plasmatics went on to break and redefine the boundaries of pop culture. Along the way they managed to introduce the Mohawk to popular culture before Mr. T, grab a Grammy nomination, and come up with one of the more unique uses for duck tape. Whether it was risking life and limb escaping from a Hudson River bound Cadillac seconds before detonation or the never ending string of obscenity charges that seemed to follow them, the Plasmatics never quit undermining the status quo while churning out some of the greatest punk rock along the way. WOW will be headlining the festivities doing an entire set of Plasmatics and Wendy O Williams covers. Hailing from Creespville USA, this will be WOW's first and last ever performance. Lead singer Jenny Hurricane notes "they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so we decided to imitate the most extreme band in history." No doubt WOW will be strutting their stuff in tight leather pants and be ready to bump and grind. Come on down to the Safari Lounge on the 27th and take a ride on the rock-n-roll quigi board with The Doosh Bags, Gout 32, and Jay Allen.
